“All You Need is Love” and “Love Will Tear Us Apart” they said. We say “All The Love in the World.”

Me and the drummer, Jerry Judd (the most spectacular time keeper ever), had just enough money for four hours studio time at Studio Dee in Atwater Village California.

It took 30 minutes to set up and tear down again, and in between we recorded a dozen or so ‘made up in the moment’ backing tracks, including the one take A.T.L.I.T.W. title track.

I went home with the ADAT master tape and for the next two to three years worked fastidiously in various personal closet studios where I lived. West Hollywood, Koreatown and finally a whole room in my desert abode. Mixing, re-mixing, writing words and tunes and capturing Liz Westwood’s vocals whenever she came to the USA. Fuckin’ up clean sounds, cleaning up fucked sounds and putting my heart and soul into the album. And, of course, playing more guitar…

Once again, I put all the money I could muster into getting a CD manufactured. It wasn’t until they were delivered and ready for distribution that I discovered there was a digital glitch on the final track (ATLITW) that would literally blow your stereo up when played loudly. I couldn’t offer them for sale and eventually made the painful decision to throw them all away.

20 years later I sorted it all out and the album shines like I had imagined it might. Never give up on what or who you love. It’s all we need.
