Derwood and the Rat is the end result of an idea born at the end of 2019.
Originally written as an Empire album, to be released 40 years after Expensive Sound.
Thanks to Covid 19 it didn't happen, and so it languished on a shelf for a few years until Rat started drumming up his storm...

It was recorded in London and California and with the help of good people it was finished at the end of 2022.
And now it finally has a vinyl release thanks to Blighty Records from Germany.

There are elements of past bands and projects that both Derwood and Rat have been collaborating on over the years. Twelve new guitar and drum post punk songs, to sit in front of the audio alter and spin the record.
