This is far from a cohesive record, the 21 tracks begin with the end of the original Empire and the beginning and conclusion of the New Empire. As Babel Wallace sang on ‘It Took Years’ “The end of an era, the beginning of enigma”.

The recordings are from many sources, in no particular order and little regard for audio quality. Cheap studios, expensive studios, rehearsals, and some live shows. You can really tell how brilliantly Babel worked the audience into a frenzy, and we were usually just the support band.

This collection over time has become a personal tribute to my friends Babel Wallace and Michael Gregovich. Their passion and skills live on. Although they are both recently departed, they took a part of me with them and it sounds like this is far from a cohesive record…
